Xbox Live Gold 12 Month Removed. What happens to Gold?

Hello there.

I have been overly curious for the past while as to what is going to be happening with the whole 'removal' of the 12 Month option for Xbox Live Gold from the Microsoft store. I currently have a 12 month subscription ongoing, which will expire this November.
Reoccurring Billing is turned on however, though I am worried what's going to happen with my subscription since the 12 month option is gone. Is the reoccurring billing going to automatically disable itself when the renewal date comes? Or will I still get 12
months of Xbox Live Gold because of the reoccurring billing still being active? Or (worst case scenario) will I still be forced to pay for the 12 month subscription, but not get actually get it since the option is gone?

If anyone can answer this question for me, it would me much apricated!

Ahh, I see, I hope that it still let's me renew it otherwise with auto payment. I would hate having to keep searching for codes for 12 months or just paying extra per year for the 3 month code.

Hello so the option doesnt show up to purchase but there still are 12 month cards out there. MS just dropped that option. Unless they state otherwise Im sure your 12month will be renewed in Nov since its on reoccurring billing. For any reason that the
12 month is no longer honored then they wont charge you for it.

Because they said that it was removed from the online store. But they didn't mention or talk about what is happening to the prepaid 12 month gold card subscription for 60 dollars
