Xbox Live Gold 1 year membership option removed?

I have an Xbox Live Gold membership that's about to end. I was going to extend it, but the 1 year option doesn't show up. Has it been removed?

I'm not sure if this is the reason why I don't have the 1 year option, but I live in Romania (I set my account country to United Kingdom).

Yes, you are removing the 12-month subscription worldwide. It is still not clear why, I think it can be, to avoid reselling and at exaggerated prices. But I do not know.

After heading to memberships & subscriptions and following the links to renew it leads me here and 1 or 3 month subsciptions are only options

Got the exact same problem in the UAE store. Only 1 & 3 months are available for subscription.

As of July 2020 the 12 month Membership is still available, is your membership set to prepaid as this will reset the membership automatically, to check head on over to memberships & subscriptions. If the membership is ending and won't reset automatically
you can purchase 12 month codes via the Microsoft store or other online shopping sites. I hope this was of assistance.
