Xbox Live for 3 consoles

Hello,

I have three children, each with their own Xbox console. I would like each of them to have access to Xbox live so they can play games online (all at the same time). I am running into the following two issues:

1. Based on my reading, it seems I should be able to have two of the consoles share an Xbox Live subscription. I would appreciate confirmation that:

A. This is, in fact, the case

B. They will both still be able to play online at the same time (without having to start playing at the same time or logging the other off to sign into the parent account first).

Assuming this is correct, instructions on setting this up would be appreciated.

2. For my third child/console, I can’t seem to figure out how to purchase Xbox Live for him - it keeps telling me that his “child” account needs permission from the parent.

I do have the Microsoft Family Safety app, and I can see all three kids included as child accounts in our Family.

I believe the easiest way you can make sure they all have Xbox LIVE is to have their consoles have only one account on each and make sure they have their Xbox's as their primary console.

The Op cleraly stated "I have 3 Xbox One consoles in my household. Mine and one each for two of my boys" That makes 3 xbox consoles that he wants to connect on xbox live.

How can the OP use only 2 gold subscriptions for 3 xbox consoles?!

remeber only applies to the first 3 profiles on the console that joins xbox live

if you purchased the console used you will only get on the remaining credits if any

if they used all 3 credits then you will have pay for live

recovering an account is not creating a profile on the console

You need at least 2 for 3 consoles. Unfortunately there is no family plan for Live.

For exampled, you have accounts 1, 2, and 3 and consoles 1, 2, and 3

Account 1 purchases Live and sets console 2 as their Home. Account 1 can then sign in and play online on console 1. Account 2 can then sign on and play console 2 without needing to purchase Live. Then account 3 purchases Live and can play on console 3.
