    Xbox Live enforcement action


    My younger member of my family received a 1 day ban last week. Ive noted the abusive word in the reason for ban, I was in earshot of some of the conversation to which someone joined and called my child a derogatory term, my child retaliated (which i concur doesn't justify per se ) with the same abusive term back.

    It seems they then reported my child for calling them the name. But as far as i am aware they didn't receive any penalty.

    How much time is spent reviewing such complaints? Is it an AI or actual person do they look to see if the complaining person was also potentially guilty. I believe on this occasion my child verbally responded back to this bully but ended up being banned albeit temporarily.

    Trash talking itself is not against the rules,it's what you say when you trash talk that can get you into trouble.

    Seems to me this individual was trying to provoke a reaction from you just so they could report you & they did.

    If you must respond to a message someone sent you then just do so in a way that doesn't break the rules.

    Whatever you said is blanked out on the forums so if it's censored here then it isn't allowed on xbox live.
