XBox Live Code Expired

I purchased 2 three month XBox Live numbers. When we entered the first number 3 months ago, we had no problem. Now we need to renew XBox Live, we tried the second number but get an error stating the number has expired. I checked my receipt and there is
nothing stating there was any expiry date or amount of days to enter the number.

I went to the store I bought this from but they state they cannot access my receipt because it was a promotion. I tried contacting support but all I got was the number has expire and too bad.

I have a number that has never been used but cannot enter it because it has "expired". Is there any way to get this number to be accepted so I get what I paid for?

Sorry to hear about that. Unfortunately we would have the same answer as the other support team, we are not able to replace the expired code. For future reference the subscriptions can be stacked so you can redeem the multiple subscription codes at once.

Exactly the same thing has happened to me with the 3 month code .The first one worked and the next one says it has expired.I was told that this is very rare to happen.no where does it say when you put the code in.I even rung microsoft and they said you can
put it in before or after ,Game say the same thing you should be able to put it in before or after.I tried to contact microsoft today who said if i had got it online from them direct they would have replaced it.I went into game my local branch as thats where
i got it but online they phoned microsoft and they promised they were sending a code through to my email the next day nothing arrived.I then went back on to microsoft facebook for one and a half hours got no where .They said I have to go back to game which
i am now going to do.I am sorry but I am not going to let this go I have been promised a code and i see now its not just me its happened to.codes are not meant to expire and in this case if they do they need to be replaced unless microsoft can show us exactly
where it says the codes have to be stacked before the 3 months is up.If i have been promised a code i expect a code.That is not correct they can replace the expired codes

 

All I wonder is why you didnt put all the codes at once? Did you know the memberships on Xbox stack? It is a shame you lost part of your money like that but research better next time so this doesnt happen to you again...that is my recomendation...

 

Be aware that promotional codes expire. Some dubious stores sometimes go to a promotional Xbox event and get free codes, and then sell these. Promotional codes do have an expiry date, and it should be printed on the code card, or on a leaflet that came with
the card.

Codes you buy in a regular store should not expire.

So please complain again at the store where you bought the codes from. You made a purchase contract with the store, not Microsoft directly. Therefore the store is responsible for getting you a working code.

If the code itself has expired there may not be anything that can be done. Xbox Live subscription cards & money in your Microsoft account typically do not expire, except for promotional offers. If you purchased promotional codes from them, they would have
an expiry date. Though most stores should let you know this information when you bought them. My recommendation would be to contact the store and ask to speak with a manager regarding the issue.

For future reference you can stack up to 36 months of Xbox Live on your account at one time.

 

I left the code till the last day and did not realise it expired midnight the night before .I had already asked and done research and was told that they stack[they think] and can be put in after the other code expired for sure.Game have now sorted it out
and I have a new code,

 

Sounds like you purchased the buy 3 get 3 promotion that was available a few months ago. The promotion 3 free months did have an expiry date and needed to be used within 30 days of receipt

 

If they dont expire its strange how the other person on here exactly the same thing has happened on the same offer.microsoft should make it clear to each retailer that they should put across the screen how long the code is valid for .Also when to put the
code in a lot of people dont know if they stack or not when you phone.Game have now sorted the situation out thankyou

 

Game is not a dubious store it is a big retailer.I did not get a code card as I got it online.A code that comes free with a game yes I would imagine that has a time limit.If the codes had to be stacked or only used after the other code expired etc all
this should be made clear on screen before you buy it,I phoned several places and told the same thing.They think they stacked but for sure were fine to use after,so I just left it till the last day.But I did not realise it went off at midnight the day before.But
that did not matter as you could put the code in after.Yes next time I will stack the codes at the same time and see if that works .game have now sorted the situation out through microsoft

 

Most codes expire after a certain date, and if you waited 6 months to enter the last code, its likely that it has already expired. Best thing you could do to make sure it does not happen again is to buy them only when you need them so you don't take that
chance again.
