    A lot of the Xbox's Services require you to be logged in to Xbox Live without using Internet. I believe the local video streaming runs through the same app where you can rent and purchase movies. So it makes sense that an app providing that service would require you to be online.

    If you're able to track, then just stream a movie and see if your usage goes up. That will tell you for sure if it's using it or not.

    You can only be logged in to one xbox at a time. You can always create a second email address at gmail.com and use it to log in to the other system itwill require a separate xbox live subscription if your trying to play online with both systems
