Xbox live advertised at £31.99 on the console but we have been told that the offer ended on the 3rd Sept, how come it's still advertised at that price?

Trouble with Xbox Live/Minecraft promotion.

On July 14th I followed a promotion on the Xbox home screen that advertised a free download of Minecraft with the purchase of a 3 month Live subscription. I believe it advertised Minecraft with extra DLC for the purchase of a full year subscription to Live.
I went with a 3 month subscription purchase and never received my download code. I called Xbox support that same day and was told I would receive my code in my Xbox message inbox within 24-48hrs, and if I did not... to call back. Well i just ended a 50 minute
phone call wherein I was told "we don't see any record of that promotion" followed by "that promotion ended June 30th" and was told (while the support was laughing....) that this was a matter of "he said, she said". This was an extremely unprofessional call.
I was not helped. I was told to come here and wait for an "Ambassador" to assist me and be the judge of whether my purchase is honored or not. So I'm not sure what comes next, but hopefully i get some ACTUAL support, and don't get laughed at again. Extremely

xbox live does not honor their specials

i'm glad i got the attention of the moderators surely you guys can find me a solution to my problem it's really simple you advertised a special on xbox live south africa for a game that you did not have available on the south african website, you could get
me the game but not for the special price but at full price even though you advertised it at 60% off all i really want is an apology from xbox live for doing that & a promise that it won't happen again & if it does you will honor your specials & i will be
happy it's not too much to ask

PNUT...I feel for ya. They can't sugar coat or cough up an actual response from a human being offering to help you in some way either. I've been through it , we all have. Lost time in our lives we shouldn't have lost because products we buy simply can't
work as advertised. The end.

Use any option on the support that can offer a live chat and ask them about your suspension, I have had same issue and been told mine ends on the 19th despite it saying it’s permanent

Sorry to hear it. I have not heard of an offer that gave points with the purchase of Live on the console. If this was via a website be sure to contact the site that advertised it. If you purchased a card with the code on it then check for a second code.
Offers like this on cards would have a code for the Live service and a separate code for the extra offer.
