Xbox live account region migration

Hello. I would like to change my xbox account region. I went to account migration, trying to select United States but it doesnt let me for an unspecified reason.

My current region is Greece. (i actually wanna change region because the pricing for members outside US is ridiculous)

Fallout 4 - Fallout 3 is not recognised. According to support regional issue SORT IT OUT. PLEASE

If it's 8015017 then you must match you're account region toyour actual region by going to account then change your region using the region migration tool

If you're don't live in an xbox live region it won't work

You may have to try contacting support to see why it won't let you migrate. but FYI, it's not recommended to change your region unless you actually live in that country. Yes, you may be able to purchase games at a cheaper price, but you will not be able
to download any games that are region locked. You may also lose some license to games you have already purchased.

Hi I have the the same problem for some reason my x box is set to US but I live in South Africa and it wont let me change it for some reason?

Contacted support yesterday, and they said that my account seems fine for the migration. Still I m not able to change region. They told me that it might be a problem with the site and that I should try again later. Well.. I still can't. Maybe it's a problem
with my country or something?, It doesn't give me a specific reason though. It just says that it's "unable to complete the action"

 

The link I posted above has a list of things that could prevent you from changing reasons. If nothing there applies to you then you will need to contact phone support to get more assistance. If they cannot help then ask to have it escalated

 

Keep In mind that 90days is a hard limit

So if your xbox account has been less then 90dayd you must wait till you are over 90days

 

I have my acc since october 2014 =/

 

Contacted support yesterday and after a really long chat (3+ hours) we finally succeeded!

Glad you were able to finally get it sorted. Can you let us know what the final resolution was so we know for future reference?

 

To be honest I don't have a clear opinion about how we managed it. The problem seemed to be on the personal info in my account (we mostly focused on the telephone info, about the regional codes and where to put brackets in the phone number).

So after trying again and again to migrate my account and fixing up my info with the help of the support, I got an email saying that my account successfully migrated to the US.
