Xbox live 14 day free trial code expired (purchased Xbox today)

Hi, i purchased an xbox one s 1TB from target this morning, went home to install etc and entered the 14 day trial code for xbox live only to be told its expired! I’ve got receipts etc to show unit was only purchased today, really disappointed to not have
a valid code to trial it and suss it all out

(We’re in australia)

Xbox Live Gold Free Trial

My son received a new Xbox One S today for his birthday, we purchased it from Walmart. It came with a 14 day free trial of Xbox Live (which was one of the reasons we purchased it) but whenever we went to set it up and redeem the code, it is giving me an
error message and saying the code is expired. How would it be expired when we JUST purchased it??

My Xbox live gold code (14 day trial) expired on a date before I purchased my xbox one x..

Who do I contact about this? the store I bought it in? or Micosoft?

If the code has expired you should contact your retailer for a replacement or a refund

Er...my question is that a 'xbox game pass ultimate 14 days trial codes' could be used/sold as 'xbox game pass 14 days trial code' or 'xbox gold live 14 days trial code', right?

I understand that a xbox game pass 14 days trial code or a xbox live gold 14 days trial code can't be used/sold as xbox game pass ultimate 14 days trial code for sure.

Because a 'xbox games pass ultimate 14 days trial code' equals a 'xbox game pass 14 days trial code + xbox live gold 14 days trial code', so for new Microsoft/Xbox accounts, a 'xbox game pass ultimate 14 days trial codes' could be used/sold as 'xbox game
pass 14 days trial code' or 'xbox gold live 14 days trial code' , right?

Please help to clarify.

The Xbox Live Trial codes are available when you purchase games or console bundles. The prepaid code for the free trial can be a 2, 3 or 14 day Xbox Live Gold trial membership. To know more about Xbox Live Free Trial

if u buy a xbox console then u will get given a 14 day free trial but xbox dont give away 14 days free trial for xbox live gold
