Xbox launching wring game

The past two days I’ve been having an issue joining a friends game. Last night I tried to join a friend through the “Join Game” in the friends list while he was in Apex Legends and my Xbox booted up Borderlands 2. Today same problem with Sea of Thieves.
I click Join Game while he is in Sea of Thieves and again Borderlands 2 launches. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

this might be a problem with your or your friends router settings. Have you both set up your configuration as described here: https://support.xbox.com/en-US/browse/xbox-one/networking/General information

It may be an issue with the xbox not updating promptly enough, especially if your internet speed is on the lower end. To avoid this issue in the future, try having your friend invite you to the game instead of join, or press the home button, go to the home
screen, then re-check your friends status to see if it may have updated.

Try clearing the cache and then reinstall the game bro.
Put your finger on the start button of the console for 10 seconds until it goes out.
Then wait another 30 and turn it on again.
After trying this, reinstall the game.
It may work for you

If he sends me an invite it will bring me to the correct game. If I try to join him it always goes to Borderlands 2. My internet speed is 300 down and 100 upload. I did clear the cache but I will try to uninstall and reinstall Borderlands to see if that
fixes the problem. Thank you guys.
