    Xbox killed by lightning?


    I was playing xbox during a thunderstorm thinking nothing of it. All of a sudden, a huge lightning strike hits and i hear a click from my xbox. My xbox and tv will both not turn on even though they are plugged in through a surge protector. I even tried using
    another power cable and taking it to a friends house. None of those solutions work.

    Anyine have suggestions?

    Thank you for replying. By repair shop do you mean gamestop or best buy, or are there other places you had in mind?

    That happened to me also. I contacted my homeowner\renter insurance and they replaced both.

    Yes. A Gamestop or Bestbuy or other repair shops that are trustworthy.

    Uh Oh! Sorry to hear about that. I recommend giving it a little bit of time to see if it just got zapped. If it doesn’t turn on at all in a few days, I would bring it to a repair shop and see if they can locate the issue. It could of been an overcharge supplying
    the console too much power to function. I hope this helps! Best of luck.

    As for the case of lightning killing an Xbox One, that is terrible luck buddy. Hopefully its sorted soon and I doubt it would ever happen again.
