Xbox kicked off internet when Chromecast connects

I have this problem with my sons chromebook. Everytime he logs on the xbox disconnects from its connection. My only guess is it has to do with ports the chromebook is requesting. I havent really dug into it much yet. Might be something to do with the firewall.
Might be something also with the recent addition of google assistant support. I know it didnt do that before that was added. I will have to play around with it to see if I can find a fix. If I do I'll repost it here.

My guess is this problem is being caused by your router. When the chromecast connects to the network it is being provided an internal IP address which is the same one the Xbox uses. This in turn causes the Xbox to disconnect from the network.

Either completely factory reset your router and connect every device one by one, or give the

Xbox a static IP address, one that the router won't override by DHCP.

I can understand the frustration, this has happened to me before. It eventually fixed itself up but i can suggest perhaps restarting your router and the chrome cast to see if that might help.

Hello there im having the same problem with my xbox one. My internet connection goes off when im playing a game then comes back on after its kicked me out, its not my rounter as my laptop is still connected to the internet when this happens.
