Xbox Keeps Turning Off

Hi there,

Recently I’ve been having problems with my Xbox one (original). I try turning it on and would shut off minutes later. After not having it on for a while, I turn it back on and works longer than usual, but then shuts off whenever I try playing a game. I have tried using a different power supply brick, tried cleaning out the inside of the Xbox, fan and vents, factory resetting it, unplugging the power plug in for a certain amount of time, and deleting some of my games. I ran out of ideas and not sure what else to do. If anyone can give any other suggestions, that would be great.

Which type of A/V connection are you using and has thing begun out of the blue? Check your cables to make sure they're in good condition (try unplugging and re-connecting them before/after turning on your system) and perhaps try resetting the console display

I had this same problem at one point. What I had to do was to go get it cleaned. Sometimes, dust can get inside of the Xbox and clog up everything. If its under warranty, you could go to https://support.xbox.com/help/hardware-network/warranty-service/console-warranty and
put in your console information, If its not under warranty, you could either pay Microsoft to fix it, or you could either go to a shop and get it done, or look up some YouTube videos.

It sounds like the xbox is overheating. I recommend that you send it in for repairs

Are you in the preview program?

if yes don’t worry I have the same problem because I am on a preview too ms should fix it on the next update.
