Xbox keeps turning of while trying to reset to factory settings.

Im not really sure how to explain it but it wouldn’t turn on what so ever but i have gotten the power brick replaced but now i run into the issue of when i try to reset my xbox to factory settings it will just shut off.More specifically im stuck on the
reboot screen where it just turns off and restarts as soon as you press any button other than troubleshoot which just gives you more options on but will still shut off on any choice.

This sounds like your internal HDD is on it's way out. I presume as you have a power brick, that it is the original version?

If it is, it can be easily repaired. What makes you think you had a power surge?

if it turns off while only playing that game i suggest re downloading it or if that is not the case try hard restarting your xbox. if that does not help you might have to do a factory reset. to do a factory reset just go to setting =system =click on reset
= you can choose to keep all games and apps or remove everything.

That is an issue caused by the console. Try resetting your console to factory settings:

Turn off your device.

The turn it on using your gampad.Press and hold the Guide button until it turns on.

While the device is booting, press and hold the Y button + right trigger. The Xbox 360 logo will appears (keep the button pressed)

The device will restart and you'll get the Xbox 360 logo again.

The display settings are now reset to the defaults

Might be this setting on your console. Try this: Settings>Preferences>Idle options. There is a setting there that says "Dim your screen while you're not using your Xbox. This helps to preserve your TV screen." Try changing it. If not best troubleshooting
