    Xbox keeps turning it's self on


    I've had a problem with my Xbox turning it's self on. At first id wake up in the morning and it would be on. I thought it might have been my dog or cat. Then I actually witnessed my Xbox turn its self on while sitting on the couch and my controller on the
    table. Kind of creepy. I have disconnected my kinect and its still happening. Any thoughts?

    Hey LightningBeef! Is the console on Instant-On or Energy-Saver mode? Additionally, double check your update settings and see if you're set to install them automatically. Post back and let us know!

    My little brother may be hitting he's only 3 years old, but when it turns on it doesn't make the sound of it turning on, its just on. My Kinect also is not hooked up to the TV so its not on all the time.

    Sorry to hear it. Do you have pets? Perhaps one is bumping against the console? What about music/television playing in the background while you are sleeping? Perhaps the console is mis-hearing something that sounds like Xbox On. I know that where I
    live there are radio commercials for Rogers TV advertising for their NextBox (sounds like Xbox doesn't it?). I'm sure if the console heard that it would get a little confused.

    The sound is fairly low so if you're in another room or sleeping you wouldn't hear it. Perhaps the issue may very well be with your little brother. Maybe for one night move a coffee table or something in front of the console or turn it around and see if
    the problem persists the next morning.
