    Xbox keeps telling me to create a password


    I created a new Xbox account to have a back up just in case. I tried to log in on my Xbox so it tells me to create a password. I do it but it just tells me to add a password word again. Can someone please help?

    Um....

    Pretty much it's telling you to create an xbox live username and password.

    If it's due to an incorrect password, you can recover your password through email (or the phone number you have on file with microsoft)

    Keep in mind that passwords are case-sensitive.

    Yes. It is my account on my Xbox 360, but I don't know what the 2 step verification is. All it keeps telling me is that I'm entering in my password wrong (despite it being correct) and it just tells me to reset my password.

    Oh, and I am able to log in to that email and that password on my Xbox One perfectly ok.

    If your password is longer than 16 characters you will need to make it less than 16 in order to play on your 360.

    The password box on the 360 including the 360 emulator on the Ones is limited to 15 characters so if your password is longer than 15 it anything typed after that will not be seen by the system and it does not match your password that is on your account.
