    Xbox keeps saying “We can’t save any more data for this game”


    This has been a persistent issue for me for almost 2 weeks. Every time I go to save data for a game my xbox will show the pop up about not having enough cloud space to save any more data. I’ve looked at multiple forum posts both on Microsoft and on pages like Reddit, as well as a multitude of YouTube videos. Nothing has fixed my issue. I’ve tried restarting my console, clearing my cache, clearing my local saved data and syncing back to the cloud, deleting data from old games, trying to save on a different wifi network, and trying to save from a completely different console. No matter what I try my Xbox always says I’m out of cloud data and no matter how much I look I can’t find a way to manage my cloud saves. If there’s nothing I can do about it then oh well, but it has been very frustrating trying to save progress in my games and instantly losing everything I had just done, no matter what game it is on.

    I need help with my cloud data.

    forgot to say this, after seeing the options for local or cloud data and selecting cloud data, it still says data can’t sync because the xbox can’t save any more cloud storage. If anyone can help resolve this, thank you.

    Yes I’ve cleared over 100 gb on my Xbox but xcloud still won’t work for fallout 4 and it’s only fallout 4 that has a problem. I tried using cloud gaming on my Xbox instead but it still didn’t work. My game starts syncing and then says “we can’t save any more data for this game or app” and says my Xbox is out of space for saved data

    I am sorry to hear that.

    Please, clear the local saved games, power cycle the console and open the game again.

    To do it, follow these steps:

    Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.

    Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Storage.

    On the Manage storage devices screen, select: Clear local saved games. This deletes games saved to your hard drive, but they'll still be saved to the cloud.

    Then, turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.

    Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 60 seconds.

    Important Be sure to wait at least 60 seconds. This step resets the power supply.

    Plug the console power cable back in.

    Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on.
