Xbox keeps saying that i cant save anymore data for this game

Usually that message refers to the cloud storage. Please try deleting cloud saves for unused game progress or progress that not longer need

I tried this step as well as it has not been working at all.

Can someone offer a fix for this so I can continue to play my games? Is it possible I can just pay for more cloud save space? Because I’ll do it, I just need a fix

As of now i am locked out on both systems. I cant move the data or delete it from the 360 it says "items on another xbox are waiting to be uploaded" Then i go to the xbox one and try to run the game and it says the same error. I have gone back and forth
a few times. I also started a new game on the 360 and saved it on the hard drive. I then moved this data to the cloud, overriding the cloud saved data, and then went back to the xbox one again and got the same error. Also because you cant delete the cloud
saved data i cant start a new game on the xbox one or select a save device without getting that error.

Wow, just lost all of my save progress and realized that you can't even get to your saved data anymore on the console. I kind of consider keeping my save game data straight a basic component of a decent console. Xbox is not making me love the new console
experience right now!

You can also try what was suggested by XBF Amber M on another thread:

" I recommend that you try clearing your local saves (cloud saves will remain so no worries so long as you're connected to the internet) and then uninstall the games, restart the console and then re-download the games.

To clear local saves:

Go to Settings > System > Storage > Clear local saved games Don't be surprised, but this will restart your console when applied. "
