Xbox keeps disconnecting from WiFi even though there is a strong signal

Over the past 48 hours my Xbox one has decided to randomly disconnect from Xbox live at least 20 times. I have tried a soft reset of the console and unplugging it from the wall for 5 minutes and then plugging it back in. None of these seemed to work and
I am still having the problem. Does anyone know a permanent solution to this problem.

Possibly relevant info:

Xbox One not a S or X

Download speed over 60 mbps

Upload speed over 18 mbps

I can not run an Ethernet cable to the Xbox

I do have a double NAT detected on my Xbox but that has been there for months with no problems

Mines has been doing this for over a year with 2K 19 and now 20. Tried the reset/unplug thing to no avail.

Is the console receiving a strong wifi signal from the router?

Why would my wifi tests be strong though? I am on a separate floor from the modem and the signal strength is 90+ with good upload/download etc.

wi-fi interference might be what is causing it.

Even if your laptop is connecting fine it could still be some kind of interference causing your xbox to disconnect. You can even have a strong signal and still get interference.

You would need to go into your router settings and change the wifi channel

Last time i had problems like this it was caused by my broadband being unstable.

If you go into your router settings and check the connection logs you can see if it is your internet connection dropping.

Another possibly is wifi interference. you can get this even with a strong signal. to fix that you would need to go into the routers settings. find the wifi settings then change the channel number.

Before doing this though you could just try restarting the router by disconnecting power to it for a minute
