    Xbox Issue - Friends List Not updating


    Hi all, I'm having a problem with my console, When I play, it automatically shows my friends list from the previously day meaning that my friends that all played yesterday are showing as "online", when I click on their profile to invite them, it says "last online 16 hours ago". Its so annoying because it never updates and I cant see my online friends. Has anyone else had the same problem or knows how to fix it? Thanks. PS its an xbox series x 2 years old.

    Hey there ZeroMarks.

    Let's start out by removing your profile from your Xbox One, once your profile is removed, power cycle your Xbox One (hold down the power button for 8-10 seconds), and then add your profile back to see if there's any change in your friend list.

    Just cleared the alternate MAC and it didnt help either. Not sure if it's supposed to be like one of those over time it should refresh and fix but for now it didnt help

    Hello there fellow gamer,

    We understand that you're experiencing an issue concerning the consistent missing of some users from your friends list, to which keeps decreasing.

    What has been attempted, just so that we do not provide the same steps as to only provide new troubleshooting to lead to the resolution.

    If the console is the only device not registering the correct amount of friends, a
    removal of the accountand then adding back of it is recommended.

    As well, attempt a soft factory reset of the console, reset and keep games
    and apps to help reset the operating system. Please note before doing this troubleshooting step, make sure to know your email and passwords for your Xbox profiles.

    Try the suggested and let us know the results.

    Hi there,

    Thanks for reaching out to us in the forums for this issue.

    Try performing the hard reset exactly like this.

    Hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 30 seconds. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.
