Xbox isn’t recognising I have Ultimate/Games with Gold

Basically,

I have Xbox gamepass ultimate, this includes gold.

However I cannot claim the free game, when I go to do so it tells me I need to join gold.

This hasn’t been an issue before with claiming and I was able to do so earlier in the month.

However I am unable to claim the second game.

I also noticed what gold discounts on sale items weren’t being applied and I was seeing the same message that said I need to join gold.

I used the online chat and they told me they’re looking into the issue as it’s a known one, but they still haven’t gotten back to me and the free game will be removed.

Things I have tried:

Restarting my console

Removing my account and adding it again

Turning off, unplugging my Xbox and starting it up again

Doing a hard reboot of my console

Anyone know a work around or how I can claim the free game?

I have tried adding it to my basket but it tries to make me buy it full price.

You can try to claim the game from this link in different browsers and connected from another network, for example, using mobile data.

I tried it but it will not recognise my drive. It’s like the usb’s are not active because the xbox isn’t setup yet.

Is there a way to find out if I’ll qualify before adding live gold to my account? If I don’t qualify does anyone know the cost of upgrading to ultimate if I pay for gold and a promo isn’t available?

Righto! - currently its cheaper for me to have 5 family members on a full microsoft O365 subscription than to have an Xbox Ultimate Game Pass for only myself. Sensible?...hmmm

O right and I have an Xbox360 (upgrading unaffordable of course) - which does not recognise Ultimate Game Pass.

If you have bought Ultimate, then it's converted your gold into Ultimate and added that onto it for you. I would advise keeping Ultimate, then you get to play over 100 games on Xbox, and have Xbox Live Gold as well.
