    Xbox is turned on but no show on the TV, says there is a HDMI Connection.


    Haven’t turned my Xbox One X for a few months and came back to turn it back on and the Xbox turns on fine but can’t connect the TV. Tried everything under the sun on Microsoft Support and Xbox Support and had no luck. The Xbox doesn’t sound normal is all that I can notice wrong with it, nothing wrong with HDMI leads as have other devices connected in other ports in the TV.

    an hdmi cable connected to a plasma tv and sometimes it also has the xbox on and i can hear it but not show the xbox screen on the tv it says no signal and the hdmi is connected snuggly

    • Check that the HDMI cable connections to your console and to your TV are secure
    • Check that the HDMI cable is connected to the "out to TV" port on the console
    • Try plugging the HDMI cable into a different HDMI port on your TV
    • Try using a different HDMI cable to connect your console to your TV
    • Try connecting your console to a different TV
    • Power cycle your Xbox One: Press and hold the Xbox button  for 10 seconds to turn off the console, and then turn it on again

    Are you saying you are getting no picture on the TV when the Xbox is turned on?

    If so, troubleshoot these things:

    - Ensure your HDMI cable (between the Xbox and TV) is plugged into "TV out" on the Xbox.

    - Check that you are on the correct HDMI input with your TV settings.

    - Ensure the HDMI cable connection is secure in both the ports of the TV and Xbox.

    - Try a different HDMI cable.

    - Try a different television set.

    My TV blurs with fast motion - Xbox One X and Samsung RU7100 65”

    Make sure you are using a HDMI 2.x cable. Try using another HDMI port on your TV. I have the 50" RU7100 and it works great.

    Also check what mode your TV is in when connected to your Xbox. With your Xbox on, turn off TV, turn TV back on, check top right and it should show input and resolution.

    Mine is 3840 x 2160 / 60p Input Signal Plus
