    Buying a 2nd Xbox (Digitial version)

    Hi, it is me again!

    On reading reviews on the Xbox Series S - 512 GB SSD, some people are complaining that the storage isn't sufficient. Perhaps these are individuals who would require a lot more storage that my sons, but I would like your opinion on this issue.

    The games my son would definitely require to be downloaded are Fortnite, Call of Duty, Rocket league and Rugby20. Do you think that the Xbox Series S - 512 GB SSD is going to have enough storage for these games? Obviously I would also like him to have some storage to spare so he can download other games if need be.

    External hard drive not displaying all games on Series S

    They're online gamepass games I downloaded on my xbox one to my external hardrive. Some would be optimised, some are not. It's not an issue with running the games, the games just aren't showing on the external drive when plugged into the series s so I can't transfer or manage storage space effectively.

    There is an issue with some Xbox 360 games not showing on the Xbox profile. Left 4 Dead 2 could be one of the games affected by this. Microsoft are working on it, it's just taking longer than they thought it would. Hopefully the issue will be fixed soon.

    No signal when accessing external hard drive

    Claus, this fixed my issue!! I'm very grateful! I just would like to understand more context.

    1) All Xbox games, internal storage and external HD, were working before. Does this mean that some recent update enabled HDR by default whereas earlier it was not on?

    2) Why did all the internal games work? In other words, why were they able to work in HDR but the external HD games cannot?

    Hi there,

    when this happens what does your storage section show? Does the storage show as unformatted, or does it show the storage device but just empty? And does the storage size match what it should be?

    If the storage shows as unformatted, then something happened to the hard drive, which may (doesn't have to) indicate that the hard drive is broken(or failing).

    The only option is to format the drive to see if the issues has been resolved.

    The console asks for an update when the most recent update can not be found, so it is most likely a storage issue.
