Xbox is only capturing 6 seconds of clips

I have had the same issue, i found at first that if i went and deleted all of my old clips it allowed me to capture full length clips again but now even that doesnt work for me. I now have 0 clips and if i try to capture a 45 second clip it only captures
12-15 seconds.

You can adjust the length of the clips that the Xbox takes. Although it is strange that they are defaulting to 4-6 seconds. Usually they default to 30 seconds. Definitely take a look at the capture settings and you can set a default time for game clips
there. You can set it up to 2 minutes.

When I go on recent captures, it shows the clip on uploaded to Xbox live but not showing as being on my console. I only have 6 captures on my Xbox which are now all screenshots.

So recently when I record a clip (30 seconds 1080p), it will usually record only the first 5-7 seconds of the clip. I am not low on my storage for clips or for my Xbox One X in general. I've been playing Gears 5 and want to record a highlight but its frustrating
when only a few seconds record. I've reset my Xbox already, ideas?

Just wanted to weigh in here that I'm seeing the exact same problem as of May 5th 2020. Trying to record 4k DVR clips has been resulting in either "Preparing your clip" and the clip not showing up anywhere, or clips showing as 22 seconds long, but
effectively a single second of a clip. I can also confirm that changing the capture to 1080p does seem to fix the issue, but ideally I could continue capturing at 4k60fps. I've tried a hard reset, full power cycle unplugging the xbox, just about everything
I can think about within the capture settings. Nothing seems to be resolving the issue so I'm stuck at 1080p capturing for the time being.
