    Hi ,

    I am facing a issue in my xbox one x that is only running in 640p . It is showing me 720p and 1080p option also but when i click on it screen goes to no signal but when i click on 640p it works. when i bought its works perfectly fine with 1080p but now i dont know why it is not working on 1080p.

    I tried almost everything. Reset the console / Change the 3 hdmi and also check in another 2 tv's but issue is same. i disable everything like HDR and 4k option also and change the setting in video modes but nothing happens .

    Can anyone plz guide me how to resolve this issue . It is software issue? because my xbox software is updated on 20th June after that i am facing this issue before that its working fine.

    These steps i already done . i see 720p resolution but when i click on it goes to black screen. so press back button and keep 640p its worked fine.

    Hi Christian,

    I am also having the same issue my xbox was bought in 2019 and
    ever since then it worked perfectly fine till last year, The issue came when
    it woldn't work on any tv then i factory reset it, it showed up but only in 640x480 and
    I've been resetting it and all that but it still wouldnt go full screen on my 1080p Monitor,
    and its also blurry I can hardly see the screen, do you have any tips?

    I appreciate the response. Just want to clarify when you mentioned you have already reset, did you mean power cycle/ console restart?

    Try to perform factory reset keep my games and apps, to do this you click on Settings > System > Console Info & Updates > Reset console > "keep games and apps".

    Note: Before you proceed, to set your expectations, your accounts will be logged out and the account that is set as Xbox Home will be removed but do not worry, this will not delete your saved data progress. You may resign in after the process.

    Nice to meet you! My name is Christian, an independent advisor. I'm here to help you out.

    Try Booting up your console in a low-res state then work your way up to 720 and above.

    Here's how to do it.

    If there's a disc in the Xbox One console, eject it.

    On the console, press and hold the Xbox button for 10 seconds to turn off the console.

    Press and hold the Xbox button and the Eject button until you hear a beep to turn on the console. You’ll hear one beep right away and a second beep 10 seconds later. The power light will flash on before the second beep. DO NOT LET GO until the second beep occurs.

    In either case, this will boot your console in low-resolution mode (640 × 480). To reset this setting, press the Xbox button to open the guide. Go to System > Settings > Display & sound > Video output, and then select the resolution you want from the Display dropdown.

    Gave X1 a shot, but it really is going to be lagging behind this Gen

    As I said above the resolution really doesn't matter as far as 1080p vs 720p what really matters is the jaggies in whatever resolution. I think it's safe to say a 720p game with NO jaggies trumps a 1080p jagged-to-death picture everyday.
