My xbox is on but is not turning on?

The power supply cable is connected as well as the HDMI cord, but the issue im having is that the consle's light is on indicating its active. But on the screen it displays the green load up with xbox symbol and its just "loading" and not moving on into the
xbox home.

The first step I would suggest is to identify where the problem is. It sounds like it could be either the power supply or the console itself. So if you have a friend with an Xbox you could try using their power supply with your console, or your power supply
with their console.

You should also check the No Power Troubleshooter to make sure you've tried all the solutions for your particular situation.

If it's the power supply then you can just replace it, if it's the console you may want to look at getting it repaired at the below link though if it's out of warranty you may need to pay, otherwise you may have to replace that unfortunately. Service

Sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Xbox. Is it safe to assume it is an Xbox One?

I suggest a reset of the console via the troubleshooting screen to get you back to a factory reset.

To access the troubleshooting screen use these steps:

Unplug the network cable if you're using a wired network connection.
Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.
Wait 30 seconds, and then plug the power cord back in.
Press and hold the BIND button (located on the left side of the console) and the EJECT button (located on the front of the console), and then press theXbox button on the console.
Continue holding the BIND and EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds.
Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the BIND and EJECT buttons after the second power-up tone.

From there you can reset your console.

unfortunately you'll want to consider reaching out to the Online Service Center to explore having your console repaired or replaced. I know it's not ideal, but that is definitely not normal behavior for an
Xbox One.

I finally got my hands on a new power box/brick(?) and this was the problem.

It definitely sounds like it could be the Power Supply then. Like I said try to borrow a friends to see if the console works, and if it is the Power Supply I would strongly recommend buying an official one, an unofficial one may be cheap but it may also
damage your console.
