Xbox is not reporting the correct time for my Kids usage

Xbox is not correctly reporting my son's usage. It sends my usage in the email.

I created a family and added my son as a child. When I log in and use Xbox, it thinks its my son who is using it. (This happens in the report) If I log in and watch netflix for 2 hrs and if my son logs in and watches netflix for 3 hrs. it will say 5hrs of
netflix for my son. If he doesnt use it any thing. it still sends a report of my usage saying its my son.

How do I solve this.

I want to know exactly how long he used it when I am not around.

Mine does this is both profiles are signed in. Make sure your son is signed out when not using it hopefully that sorts it.

just to be sure please double check the family set up via
https://account.microsoft.com/family/

To verify all is set up correctly.

After that it might be an idea to remove the profiles from the console.

Power cycle the console, see steps below and after that redownload the profiles again.

I'm afraid, that due to privacy issues, such a function might not be implemented.

While you can keep track of your kid's console usage with the activity reports as XBF Javier R already suggested, all other "workarounds" like using the Xbox App and having your kid as a friend that notifies you when the kid goes online, can be avoided by
your kid when he chooses to "appear offline" in his profile settings.

Is there a certain reason WHY you need the real time information instead of the activity report? Maybe if you explained the situation and need for a real time notification, we might find a different solution?

Hey EiderMaineiac! I'm sorry we didn't get a response out to you sooner! Are you still seeing this issue? Have you seen any improvement in the accuracy of your reports?

If you haven't, you may want to try removing the user from the family pack and adding them back! We've seen this resolve reporting issues for users in the past but we do understand if you feel it's not an option since the user will need to remain removed
for 5 days until they can be added back. You can always use add an alternate account to use in the meantime but you would not be able to use any game saves for the week. Let us know if this is do-able!

So I've waited, but it hasn't gotten any better. Somedays it shows 3 hours in a one hour block of time, and others it appears accurate. Any other suggestions?
