hey guys, my Xbox has had this happen a few times and I was able to fix it until now. I've looked for info on this topic quite a bit but there isn't much to go on.

Problem: after cold shutdown of Xbox, on the reboot. The colors are inverted. Depending on the graphics settings (24bit color, 720p etc.) the colors will either be cyan/red with clear text or a multitude of different colors and very garbled writing.

please help i used 3 diff hdmi cables and still dosent fix.

Hi there,

if possible be sure to try this on a different TV/Monitor (and also different HDMI ports on TV/Monitor) too.

To see if it changes depending on that.

If that doesn't help then it could be the console itself that may require repairing/replacing.

Is that opposite direction thing only happening in game, or does it also move inverted in the main menu?

If it is only in game, especially First Person Shooters, you can set up the camera direction to be "inverted". Go to the game's control option and check if there is a setting for the camera Y axis to be inverted.

If the inverted controls also happen in the Xbox main menu screens, check if you have inverted the controls in the Xbox Accessories App.

Altage

Usually, the x axis isnt inverted. The Y axis has an invert option for FPS games, or other games that you may invert the Y axis.

I have done this, it is marked as inverted in the configuration but it still is not inverted.

On the 360 there is a setting where you can set your controls to inverted & every game you play then has your controls as inverted.

Actually can't believe this isn't on the xbox one yet,i'm a inverted person myself & it is annoying that you have to set the controls/camera in every game now but it's not the end of the world.
