Xbox install speeds keep dropping then stopping

try starting the download/install then pause it, wait a few minutes then resume the download.

I had to do this a few times to install NMS as the download speed kept dropping or stopping but pausing and resuming got it to download in the end

After resetting, all of my service issues and the ability to play games has fixed but I still can’t download games. When I first start the download it will install at a slower rate than it should, then drop in download speed before it gives me the "installation stopped" error. It does install slightly if I repeatedly switch between my Wi-Fi plans and when It first turns on after a hard shutdown; the speed is usually what’s it’s supposed to be after that, then it drops from around almost 200mbs to 56kbs before stopping entirely. Resetting never fixed this issue and this issue isn’t my internet so I am stumped.

Sometimes, Download speed is at 20mb, but then, it drops to 1mb or the download stops, is Wireless so maybe that's the problem

Thanks for posting the issue you are having with installs. With the first part where the game went back to 12kb. Xbox has something in place that if a game is paused or stopped it will most times restart. The reason for this is to stop corrupt installs.

Now to the biggest issue you are facing with your internet speeds. The
minimum requirements for internet speed on Xbox are 3mb down and 1.5mb upload. Your speeds are way under that. We recommend to leave the game installing in background. It will stop and start multiple times and such, but it will be continuous and will not
start over unless stops for a long length of time.

Yea. Hard reboot and even factory reset by settings and holding bind and eject buttons - neither worked (keeping games)

Its starts out like 30Mbps (until dl about 200MB) then jumps to 300Mbps (states 450ish MB dled) then doesnt state speed for about 10 seconds then starts again at 20-30Mbps until about 600-700MB.

it looks like it breifly goes from installing... (no speed shown) then queued and back to installing... (no speed again) before going to installation stopped
