Xbox Home- You've Already changed your xbox home 5 times.

Hi my gamertag is , and i was looking into game sharing with my friend Hamish1080p , and its not allowing me to change my home xbox because its saying "i have already changed the home 5 times , but i have only game shared with one other person,
so Im not sure whats going on, please contact me ASAP, because i would like to sort out this issue and move on in a positive matter in the near by future.

You can change your home Xbox up to 5 times per year. If you have already used your 5 home console changes then you will have to wait 1 year from the time you changed your home Xbox.

The only exception to this policy is if you needed to change your home console due to getting a new or replacement console.

 

How do I stop sharing with my brother

it already is my home Xbox it says “remove this as my home xbox”

 

It is not a matter of how many different people you have game shared with it is a matter of how many times you have switched which console you have as your home console. For example.

1. When you first signed into your console and made that console your home console that was time 1.

2. You then signed into your friends console and made that console your home console that was time 2.

3. If you then make your console your home console for some reason that would be time 3.

Basically it is each time you switch which console is set as your home console not how many different consoles you have game shared with.

Thanks for reaching out, I would recommend contacting Xbox support to see if they can do anything about that. It should only say that when the home console of your account was changed as mentioned by the previous reply to this tread, they could possibly
assist you with that.

Once a user has reached their 5 switches per year limit, a user can fill out a survey on
Xbox Assist on the console that will give them one more switch until the year's time is up so that they can switch it again. Support teams no longer have the ability to do anything about Home Console switches.
