Xbox home subscription sharing problems

the Home console option will not result in other accounts having a subscription, but will result in those accounts being able to use the features on the console, such as Online gameplay and being able to play the games in game pass etc. so the other account
should also be able to play the games on the console.

One thing you can try is to power cycle the console via

the steps mentioned on the following link, be sure to wait at least 60 seconds before powering on again:

One thing you can do is keep the account with ultimate signed as you play on the other account hope I helped with the problem

Yes you can share Game Pass on Xbox if you use the desginated Home Xbox console to share with. Here's how to designate your console as the Home Console, also what can be shared and how. It's important to know Ultimate Game Pass cannot be shared on PCs currently.

You said the live subscription is under his account?

If that is the case, then the problem is that his console is set as home xbox. YOUR console is the one that needs to be the home xbox in order for his subscription to be shared with you
