Xbox Home console switches and setup errors.

I was setting up an xbox for my daughter and we kept having issues that required resetting the console. Over the course of a few weeks we had to do this 5 times resulting in all 5 of my Home Xbox switches being assigned. Now her console finally died so I bought her a new Series S. Problem is I cannot assign it as a new Home Xbox. The odd part was the initial switch happend mid year but it's showing a reset for 03/11/2025, I can't wait till november to switch assign the new xbox as my home unit, especially since the home xbox ( One X) is now a door stop.

There has to be an exception for faulty xboxs.

You can try contacting support, but as far as I know they cannot give out more switches. http://support.xbox.com/contact-us

Can’t make this your home Xbox. You may be eligible to receive an exception. If you are unable to receive the exception, you have to wait until the date shown to switch home console.

Hi Haydan,

Thanks for reaching out. We see you are having issue with
home console. We recommend tying to change the setting. If you don't switch it to another console it will not use a switch. Go to the settings select the box to remove home Xbox. Then wait few seconds and make home Xbox again.
