    Xbox home console not working


    I recently bought an Xbox one and wanted to play some of my brother’s games, so he let me set his account as my home console and vice-versa. In doing so I have been able to download his games but when I go to load up any of his games it does not allow me to play them and says that I have to purchase this game to be able to play it. I did also go to a game that I owned and I do not get his Xbox live gold features.
    I have a normal Xbox one while my brother has a Xbox one S series. His account is definitely set as the home console as I have checked multiple times.

    Soloutions I have tried:

    •Reseting the console and keep games and apps.

    •Reseting the console and removing everything.

    •Performed a power cycle by holding the Xbox one button on my console for 10 seconds.

    •Removing his account as my home Xbox and making it my home Xbox again.

    •Booting up games on a different network.

    I have had to buy Xbox game share for a month just to play Xbox live. Can anyone please help?

    He would have to set you as a family member in order for you to have xbox live.

    Settings-account-family-manage family-then add your account to his family

    We are both trying to play the same game on both consoles and they require network (players unknown) so we bth need to be on xbox live. He has his and when i log into mine on the home console, that is when it requires me to purchase xbox live myself

    Hello!

    Hope that this will help.

    First make sure that your boyfriend account have an active Xbox Live Gold. Do try to log in he's account to this page to check it out:

    https://account.microsoft.com/services

    After you confirmed that he have an active Gold on he's account, try to set it up as Home Xbox on your Xbox One console ( let us call it as console A )

    Once you are done setting up he's account as Home Xbox to console A, log in your account on it and try to play any online games. That should share the gold of your boyfriend account to anyone that will use the console A.

    Also, make sure that your boyfriend will not set up another Home Xbox using he's account. As the Home Xbox will be remove from console A.

    So if he set up he's account to another console ( let us call it as console B ) the Home Xbox from console A will be removed and will be transferred to console B.

    Does your BF have the other xbox set to auto login? I'm just curious because if he does sometimes having it set to auto login will automatically declare it the home xbox.

    When you guys got the second xbox was he the first to log in to it? The first time you sign in to an Xbox One and save your password, that console becomes your home Xbox. I would go into the settings
    and look to see which one is set as home and check if auto login is enabled or use the PC and/or have him go to xbox.com, login and click on his gamer pic and then click the link that says my microsoft account or use login.live.com to see which one is actually
    set to "Home"
