Xbox headset not working, need a fix!

I plugged in my (non-Xbox) headset into my Xbox one S. It usually works perfect, I can chat and play games with it. This time, I went into system in the guide and there were only 2 sliders, not 3! Headset volume and Mic monitoring are there, however, the
slider to change the voice percent and game percent are not there.There is no game volume and voice volume is very low. Someone, please find a fix for this issue!

Thanks! Will test now. I don't know what a 3.5mm is, but I think it is that because the cord is about 3-4mm long.

Agreed! Aside from the power cycle to your console, or even checking for the update for your headset. Here are some trouble shooting step you can possibly try. Its strange about the sliders though.

I'd look over the cable, and try connecting them to something else like a phone and see if they work there. Check if the connection might be loose, or the cable at the connector possibly disconnecting?

This has happened before and after a few days it went back to normal, however, I don't know if that will happen this time.
