    Xbox Headset Issues


    Hello there,

    I was wondering if I could get some help or advice with my Rig 500 mic for Xbox. It somehow broke my controller when I plugged it in. Because now people can’t hear me speaking when I plug it into that controller, however the mic works perfectly fine with
    my other controller. This all happened a year ago, and now I think it damaged my second controller as well because people can’t hear me through that as well. I’ve tried cleaning them, updating them, nothing is working and unless I can fix this I’m gonna have
    to buy 2 more controllers and a mic, so $200 and I really don’t want to do that.

    Xbox One Adapter game and chat volume the same?

    its all in the details my head setted friends..

    microsoft is aware of the adapter issue.. some people are having issues mostly with in game chatt but non on skype,and such...

    quite a few posts on the asto headset forums about it. along with turtle beach and such. astro says they found a firmware fix that should go live next week. it will only be applied to the a50 and pro2013 edition.

    microsoft is also aware of the adapter issues across the board and is working on it as well. this was the same issues with ps4 with headset integration.

    Third party companies produce headsets for Xbox one if the headset is a third party product you would have to contact that company for warranty issues. Only if the headset is an actual xbox produced item would it be an xbox issue.

    Will need some more info, what is the make and model of the headset

    Has this worked the past.

    Does the headset portion work correctly, in other words do you just have an issue with the mic.

    Can you try another controller, or better yet try using the headset on a friends xbox or take it to gamestop

    If the headset works on another controller then it may be an issue with the controller or console, if this headset does not work with another controller, then it may be an issue with the headset.

    Not all headsets are supported with the xbox

    How do I turn mute ( unmute ) off on Xbox 1

    Hello there

    The symobol at the top right isnt a mute symbol lots of people thing it is but it isnt. If there is a mic attached it turns too a pic of a headset. What confusses people is that sometimes the console or controller doesnt see the headset that is attached
    and there for doesnt show the headset pic.

    A few things too do you need too find out if its a headset issue or a controller issue or possable (unlikley) a console issue

    Make sure your controller is updated

    Try the headset on a other device like a pc or phone if it works there you know it isnt the headset. If it doesnt work on a other device then the headset is falutly/brokon

    Try pluging the headset into a other xbox controller sometimes the 3.5mm port on the controller goes bad and the console wont see the pic. If it works on a other controller then the controller is the issue.

    If your in the xbox insider program there is a issue where some 3rd party headsets are having issues.
