    Xbox headset crackling/static when ever I move the cord or controller


    When ever I move the controller or headset cord there is very bad crackling/static. I have bought a new controller same thing happens and now I recently purchased a new headset hoping that would fix it but same thing happens, any advice on fixing would

    There isn't a router between my controller and console and I don't think neighbours' routers' would cause interference if that's what you're getting at since my router is closest anyway.

    I'm really confused. I was using a Turtle beach audio controller with my headset. I unplugged that and plugged the headset directly to the controller and that seemed to lessen the popping. So does interference cause popping and crackling? When I move my
    controller really far away from my console, my headset starts to crackle before disconnecting so you could be right.

    Sorry to see you're having headset trouble. To start things off, which other headsets have you tested and have any of them not given you the crackle you're hearing? Is it possible to test your headset on a friend's console to see if you also run into this
    sound? I managed to give this a try myself and I'm unable to hear any static or crackling.

    Yep, same problem here. I've been playing Destiny 2 and I never hear any static while playing but as soon as I go to the dashboard I hear awful static, crackling, popping ect. Both through my headset and my TV speakers.
