    Xbox having connection issues


    My roommates and I have three xboxes total in our house. Two days ago they all started having the same issue. We keep getting kicked offline, and our consoles say they can't connect to the internet. When we troubleshoot we've gotten multiple error messages. Most of the time is says xbox can't connect to the DNS server. I've also seen it say the UPnP not successful. When our console does connect to the internet it says it's connected and all good, but when we try to load a game it says there's a service error and we get kicked back offline. I've tried resetting our router multiple times but run into the same issue. Everything else on the wifi is fine, including phones, tv, and PS5. We've tried manually changing the DNS server but that didn't fix the problem either. Does anybody know what we can do?

    Hey Mat,

    I'd be happy to help!

    Before trying a factory reset I suggest trying a complete
    power cycle    .

    1. Turn off the Xbox One console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down completely.
    2. Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 5 mins.
    3. Plug the console power cable back in.
    4. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn on the Xbox One.

    Also I recommend to unplug your modem as well as your router for 5 mins as well. Reboot everything together.

    Try that out and let us know the results!

    I get this also on occasion.

    Resetting my router and console usually fixes it. But see it didnt do it for you.

    Factory reset will be the next option to try.

    You could try a power cycle, maybe, before a full reset. You can do so by unplugging the console from the wall for 10 - 30 seconds, and plugging it back in. You could also try removing your account, and then signing back in.
