Xbox has trouble installing certain games & Xbox can't leave Insider program

The post is split up into two parts, PART A is for the issues around installing certain games. PART B is for trying to leave the preview program.



PART A. Hello, I'm having issues with downloading Watch_Dogs, Assassin's Creed Unity and other titles (though predominantly Ubisoft titles). ' Installation Stopped' is the error I receive through the queue. Checking the Microsoft Store gives me the error: '0x87e0000f'. The issue started around a few months ago but I never really bothered to investigate until now.

Watch_Dogs I 'own' through the Games with Gold program. It was available a few years back (2017 I believe). I have an active 12-month subscription and it auto-renews every year. So there's no chance that I don't have an active Xbox Live Gold subscription at any point. Assassin's Creed Unity I legitimately own (came with the Xbox as a code in a bundle).

The Xbox starts to download the games but at around 5% it stops and throws 'Installation Stopped'. It consistently fails at 5%. It's not every Ubisoft title, Assassin's Creed Black Flag and other titles and apps install fine with no problems.

So far I have tried:

• Resuming the download
• Pausing and resuming the download in intervals
• Cold reboot (Hold Power button then unplug for 30 sec)
• Starting download from Xbox app
• Starting download from Microsoft Store
• Starting download from My Games & Apps
• Talking with Xbox support (No help, only relayed basic instructions)
• Talking with Ubisoft support (No help, only relayed basic instructions)
• Changed region location
• Removed any disc whilst installing
• Tried with any game disc in whilst installing (I don't mean Watch_Dogs or AC, I don't have those on disc)
• Tried on a different Xbox console (Same error occurs)
• Tried downloading via a different account.
• Tried downloading the title on a different Xbox console with the same account (Both produce the same error)
• Tried switching 'My Home Xbox' between the two Xbox's I have. (Both produce the same error)
• Moved Xbox closer to the router
• Changed internet settings (DNS, port forwarding, etc.)
• Changed wifi networks (2.4 to 5ghz)
• Tried using Ethernet
• Checked for update (No update, am on the latest.)
• Tried different networks (Phone hotspot)
• Clearing save game storage
• Installing to an external drive
• Installing to internal HDD
• Offline system update
• Entry and removal from insider program
• Factory Reset (Keep Apps & Games)
• Factory Reset (Remove Everything) (Didn't keep preferences when re-linking account)

Do you have anything else I could possibly try? I'm suspecting it could be my home network but with everything I've tried with it, I don't think there's much left I could do.



PART B:

Hello, speaking with Xbox support for the issue above they noticed I was in the insider programme. I checked inside of the Insider App and unrolled my Xbox from the beta. However, the Xbox didn't receive any update to leave the insider program. I performed an offline system update to see if that gets me out of it but surprisingly it put me on the exact firmware I was on before.
