Xbox has factory reset

So woke up this morning and went to put my xbox one x on and it has done a factory reset all by itself... Anyone else had this? Should I be worried?

Rule out the connections first, try a different lead

different tv

different power socket

remove any third party devices connected

reboot the x1

Maybe a factory reset ?? if all fails

Faulty Kinect - seems a common problem

Have put my dodgy Kinect on my sons Xbox and it appears to work fine on his!

Not yet connected his Kinect to test it on my Xbox but will later.

Guessing it's an issue on the machine and always thought it started playing up after an update. If his is the same I may opt for a factory reset..... Has anybody with Kinect issues resolved by a factory reset?

 

are you in the preview program? that may be an issue with that.

 

Yes I am, just been told someone else got there's reset today aswell.

 

then I believe it has to do with that.

Consoles that are in the Alpha Skip Ahead tier of the Xbox Insider programs had to be factory reset to resolve an issue with the operating system on the console as per the notes below.

New Preview Alpha Skip Ahead 1810 System Update - 7/8/18 - Xbox Wire

 

Good afternoon, you are probably signed up to be a part of the "Preview program", it updated today. You can "opt-out" if you choose by going to : My games and apps--> Xbox Insider Hub --> Settings --> Manage devices --> and select
to remove (current) Xbox from the program. Hope that helps!
