XBOX has abandoned chinese market!!!!!!!!!!

This year, many game on xbox don't support Chinese language like monster hunter world 、nier：automate、sea of shief and state of decay2, and most of this game on steam and ps4 can provide Chinese language. As a player on Chinese ,I thought choose xbox is one
of the worst choose on my life. What I can do now is sell my xbox one x and buy a ps4. I can see in next generation, people in Hongkong、Taiwan and China will against xbox.

Not able to change the system language.

Chinese Xbox Ones are specially manufactured for the Chinese market. That is why you are only seeing the Chinese language. There is nothing you can do, but purchase a Xbox One which has English as one of the languages.

 

Xbox One in China?

Yes. From what I've seen the plan is to have Chinese versions of the games produced by the Chinese and marketed by a Chinese company and under the name of a Chinese brand. It would be the Xbox One but only under a Chinese name since the console is already mostly manufactured in China. So in essence yes the games would be in Chinese.

 

That would be up to the developers, not Microsoft.

 

When it comes to the scope of language, that is up the developers on whether or not they want to invest the time and money into adding more languages.

As far as Monster hunger world keep in mind "Monster Hunter: World is no longer for sale
in China. Governmental regulators in that country have pulled its license, and the continued operation of the game is not guaranteed." my understanding is this applies to all versions including Xbox, PC, and Playstation.

 

all great points but unfortunately it's all down to the individual dev teams.

 

It's down to the devs really.

 

Local language support if up to the individual developer.

 

Thats a dev thing not Microsoft
