    Xbox Hack Attack


    I recently got targeted by an Xbox user and they keep shutting me down remotely. They will disable access to xbox live and even my internet. They have done it twice so far. any ideas or help would be useful. I've already reported them through the xbox
    reporting system and i've gotten no response. Plus xbox support is currently disabled for calling so that doesn't help. I've blocked them, but they still have access and are shutting me down. Please help.

    That was a ddos attack,completely different from being hacked.

    Xbox live has never been hacked.

    They weren't hacked. They received a distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack, which means that Xbox One servers were flooded with a large (fictitious) amount of traffic. It's not the same as hacking. But yes, Lizard Squad did attack again.

    It sounds like you're being subjected to a denial-of-service attack.
    This page will explain     how to stop it. You should report the incident to your Internet Service Provider (ISP), as they will be able to trace and stop the attack, as well.

    Alongside all that, power down your modem and router and allow them to reset and get new IP addresses. This should also prevent the attack.

    I have reported this individual twice and no response. They have shut down my internet 3 times already. I tried the steps you provided earlier and they still are able to shut my internet down. I am on the phone with my isp trying to trouble shoot. please

    Hey Raj thanks for taking the time to bring this issue to us!

    We apologize for this issue but rest assured we are here to help. First things first we suggest to restart the Network Hardware (router and modem), unplug them for a full 10 minutes, no less. Once that is done clear the Network Card Cache on the console
    to get rid of any leftover data stored on there. Also report said player to our
    Enforcement Team    .

    To clear the Network Card Cache:

    Settings

    Network

    Network Settings

    Advanced Settings

    Alternate MAC Address

    Clear and Restart

    Give these steps a shot and let us know how it goes!
