XBOX GOLD WAS PENDING NOW SAYS ACTIVE BUT NOT WORKING STILL VIA CONSOLE

They've accepted the request, but it still says it's pending, we can still send things to each other but i can't invite them to games or see their activity cause it still says that the friend request is still pending even though on their xbox one it says that im their friend - but thanks for looking into my problem

Now instead of processing the console says canceled but I still have the pending charges

When you add gold via the website there is a delay before the console will recognize it. The delay can take hours. To speed up the process, try testing your connection.

Why is everyone else saying it doesnt have to periodically check but you are saying it does? ...

This is only true for Xbox One games you get via Games with Gold and games you "rented" via the Xbox Game Pass.

These games need to check if you are still a paying Gold member or have an active Game Pass Subscription.

All other games that you actually purchased either digitally or physically with a disc don't require regular online check ins.

I have been active with gold since the Xbox 360 came out and mine still says active for five years.
