Xbox gold region locked to the wrong country

Hello. I bought xbox gold at Eb games (an Australian retailer) where I live. But I am unable to upgrade the gold to gamepass because apparently the gold I activated was region locked to the UK.

Since redeemable codes are region-locked, I am afraid that you cannot redeem your code right now until your current subscription expires. You may contact the Xbox Support team to have it canceled manually for you to redeem your new code.

Gold cards are not region locked so it does not matter. MS Points are region locked so would need to be associated with the same country as your gamertag

You've got that the wrong way around. Gold subs are region free, points are region locked.

Xbox gold cards are region locked

Not by continent but by country

So if you bought a english code it womt work on an poland account

That code suggests a region error. Is your gamertag set to the same region (country) that you physically live in? Which country do you live in?

Gold membership codes are usually region locked and can only be used for the region they were originally intended for.
