Xbox gift card difficulties

I’m trying to redeem an Xbox gift card but keep getting the message “This code is not yet active. Contact the merchant to activate this code” but I bought it awhile ago and am not sure who the seller is.

Unfortunately only the retailer the code was originally purchased from could activate the code.

Im guessing you bought the code from one of the online code reselling sites out there such as cdkeys? You might just be out a loss on this one.

In this case, the only thing that can be done is truly contacting Support, to see if there is anything they can assist you with. But keep in mind that in this case it is truly needed to contact the Seller of the code.

The problem choice you choose on the Support link might not give you access to Request a Call or Live Chat, and in this case, try selecting other problems ( even if does not match the issue you are facing ) because what is important here is for you to contact Support. So do this until the contact options appear, okay? Here in the community, we have no access to account/billing information.

If you are having difficulties redeeming an official Roblox Gift card, you may need to contact Roblox support directly.

However, if you have an official Microsoft gift card, we can most definitely assist. Most of our gift cards will have steps on how to redeem them on the back of physical cards. Please visit: How to redeem gift cards and codes | Xbox Support for steps on how to redeem a gift card on an Xbox console, PC, or mobile device. If the code is appearing invalid, you may need to confirm the region of the card, try on another device, or look for any errors that may mention that the card has already been claimed.

troubleshooting gift card and code issues that I recommend that you take a look at, so that you may receive further information about redeeming your code.

It is also possible to
redeem your code using several different methods, such as from the Xbox app on your moblie device and Windows 10 device, or even from a Xbox website on a web browser.
