Xbox Gift Card code deactivated before use!

Got a XBox gift card few months back as a gift, yesterday I attempted to redeem it online, says code deactivated. How weird, I didn't even use it. What's the solution, how do I get it fixed. There is no telephone number that I can call and discuss. Please
help!

Deactivated gift card

when you buy a gift card from a store you need to be sure that the seller activates the cards if not you will not redeem the card.

Gift Card Xbox Live

Some hours ago i bought a 25 euro gift card xbox live

They activited it in the store but when i tried the code on the xbox one it said it was deactivated

The code of the card is [Mod removed - Personal Information]

Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. We understand that you are currently experiencing difficulties with redeeming a code you purchased.

Typically, when a code is deactivated you need to contact the retailer, as per the article titled

Troubleshoot gift card and code issues.

Since its currently in a deactivated state, I would have to recommend that you
Contact Xbox Customer Support, as they would be much better equipped to assist you in addressing this matter further.

i recently wrongly purchased a 3 xbox one apex coins gift cards and i tried to sell them independently online , and of course i got scammed ,is it possible to deactivate the gift card code, rendering it useless and have it refunded from my seller?

No there is not. This is unfortunately a risk you potentially take when trying to sell gift codes independently online.

If you have a receipt for the gift card you could try speaking to where you purchased the gift card from to see if they are able to deactivate this card and supply you a replacement.

NOTE: You will need the purchase invoice for your gift card.

See the bottom left part of the page and make sure that the page has the correct region that you are in (ex: United States - English for USA)

If not, click on it then select the correct region that you are in.

Check and confirm that you are within the available time of support under Contact times.

Click Contact us

Select the drop-down menu options that will match your concern.

On the page, see the provided support articles that may help you with your concern. Click See contact options if further assistance is needed.

On the next page, select either Chat online or Request a call option then follow or enter the needed details.
