Xbox gaming still shows content above my sons age rating

I have content restrictions set to 16 on my sons account. However, in Xbox Cloud Gaming, it still shows all the 18 rated games that he can't play. WHY? It is hard enough trying to protect our kids, a bit of support would be nice (yeah right from a company just wanting kids addicted to violent games).

Why not just show him the ones he CAN play rather than him clicking on ones that look good, finding they are 18 and not being able to play them, and making me the parent, the bad guy once again?!!!

It's so infuriating!

I guess the real questions is 'How do I filter the games out over 18 on Cloud Gaming, as I can't find a way!' I don't think there is a way, but I am happy to stand to be corrected!!

The age ratings on the box are there for a reason. GTA is rated 18 here in the UK. Any store selling the game to persons under 18 would be open to prosecution.

And as a father I take the responsible approach and only let my son play games that have an appropriate age rating for him.

PvZ is rated E so your son should be able to play it if his age is above 10. EA games that are M rated don't allow child accounts to play them but that shouldn't apply in this case.

That's because the BF4 beta is mature rated content. For any content that's rated "unrated" or "mature" the content will not download to an account under the age of 18. This is not a setting that you can change. If you wish to download related content you'll
need to create an account above the age of 18 or wait until the age on your account reaches the age of 18 so you can promote your account from child to adult.

Hello,

Please read the support documentation on changing the child accounts permissions to purchase certain content.

Please note that if your son is trying to download a game demo that is RP or M rated he will not be able to as game demos are classified as advertising and are in their own category. As far as content is concerned he should be able to download it with your
permission.

Also, if your son is now at the age of 18+ he can promote his account from a child to an adult by following the directions at the above link as well.
