Game has been un-installed and re-installed multiple times.

Game has been both launched by the Xbox App and by Shortcut - no change.

    This is 100% repro.

Note: I am a former Software Test Engineer contractor to Microsoft waaaay back to NT 3.1 - just trying to help provide as much info as I can.

"OlympusRelease" is part of Halo Infinite. Something is apparently up with calls to VCRUNTIME140.dll with it throwing 0xc0000005.

sfc /scannow showed that some inconsequential files needed to be fixed, but none would have affected the results.

Please fix or suggest actions. I'm not alone in reporting 0x800070102.

    Thanks!

Hello, ScottKin. Thanks for reaching out! My name is Lucas. I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user just like you. I'll be happy to assist you today.

Try to reinstall Microsoft Visual C++ programs. Download a fresh copy of Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime from here and then install it:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/cpp/windows/latest-s...

Make sure you download the correct version of it (x32/x86 or x64). Restart your computer after the installation and try to run Halo Infinite again, please.

Halo Infinite won't launch with Xbox App

I found this fix to work Everytime. Go into settings in windows 10, apps and features, and find Halo Infinite in the list. Then select advanced options once you click on the application. Hit the repair option, then the reset option. Once this is complete, Xbox game app will show it uninstalled. Select to install, then the app will detect it already there within 1-2 mins. Relaunch the game and enjoy!
