    Xbox Games


    None of my games launch, i try to launch, for example BF4 or BF3 it doesn't play it shows the art screen for the game then goes right back to the home screen for the Xbox. I've already talked to Xbox support but nothings helped. Can anyone help? (Edit)
    its been 11 days since the last time i was able to play my games, can anyone actually help or did i just loose all that time spent on Xbox?

    Power cycle your xbox by holding down the power button on your console for 10 seconds . Retry afterwards .

    1. Have you made sure you have the latest update for everything. First check that the system is up-to-date and then make sure the game is up-to-date.

    2. If they are up-to-date, try uninstalling one of the games and then reinstalling (I know this takes time, but it might help solve the problem). If this works for that game, of course perform the same fix for the other games.

    3. If that didn't fix the game, I can think of two other options:

    a. perhaps the drive the game is on has a issue.

    b. or you could try resetting the whole Xbox back to factory and starting from scratch. Profiles can be restored and depending on the game, the save might be in the cloud too.

    What doesn't make sense is that some of my games work but most dont, ive reseted it with the games and apps, ill try factory settings, if that doesn't work then what could I possibly do. (PS all my games were fine yesterday)

    In terms of resetting, you mean you uninstalled and reinstalled the games?

    Be careful, I was looking at an issue someone is having and noticed the Purchase and Content portion of Xbox live is listed as Limited and that might be the issue.

    I've only uninstalled 1 game to see if it would work (hasn't finished downloading) i meant when i reset, i meant the xbox. But ill try resetting it to factory standards, if that doesn't work idk what to do, I've tried everything

    Are the games that aren’t working digital games? If so, there’s currently an issue not being able to play some purchased games. It happened to me too, but they’ve since started working.

    They may start working properly when the issue is resolved. To keep an eye on the service alert, please check this link:

    Yeah all my games are digital, but only a few work. Hopefully it's an Xbox Services issue and not my xbox

    Its been 11 days and I still can't play my games, can anyone help or did u just loose all the money i spent on Xbox

    Someone help mw2 works fine for me on xbox one but I just wasted $30 on mw3 for Xbox one because it is unplayable in multiplayer due to lag.

    Hey Sean! Thanks for reaching out to us. If the issue is still persisting I would recommend trying a hard reset and a power cycle. Simply hold down the power button on your console for about 10 seconds to clear the cache. Then power cycle your Xbox by removing
    the power cable from your Xbox and your wall outlet for a few minutes. Preferably we recommend you also plug directly into the wall as surge protectors can corrupt your console's software so keep that in mind too. If that doesn't work then I would try a soft
    factory reset to reset the Xbox to factory settings, but keep your games and apps installed. Follow the

    article we have on our support website to further troubleshoot if either of those options don't work. Let me know if that works!

    Next time this happens, you can try accessing Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate Mac Address > Clear it and the console should restart. It would definitely help if you could restart the internet router while the console is restarting.

    After going through the troubleshooting steps mentioned, I invite you to perform a quick power cycle by turning off the console and then unplugging all the cables. After 2 to 3 minutes, re-plug them back again, then restart your console.

    In case the issue still persists, the next step would be to perform a reset on the console. To do so you will need to follow the steps below to perform a reset on the Xbox :

    Settings > System > Console Info > Reset This Xbox > Reset and Keep my Games and Apps.

    Note =>The "Reset and Keep my Games and Apps" option will not cause losing your games, but please be aware that you need to be completely aware of the email address as well as the password of your account before going for it because it will require you to sign in to the account.

    I can see going through the process of resetting one console that has a problem starting games, but I have an Xbox series X and S and a Xbox one X and all three consoles were having the exact same problem at the same time and I can't see it being a problem at the users side.

    I read that Microsoft had recently implimented a new authentication system and it was causing some problems with some of Microsofts services including the Xbox game authentication but as usual they would keep that part quiet like other companies would do.

    Strange, I had the exact same thing happen to me. I assumed that it was a result of playing games on Game Pass Mobile. Literally when my clock reached 1 am MST every game I tried and crashed before started working again.
