Xbox games that are supposed to be compatible with Xbox 360 not working

Hello,

I recently acquired an Xbox 360 S that has a 250 GB hard drive. I tried a few original Xbox games that were supposed to be compatible, but most of them did not work.

I tried the following games that did not work:

- Half-Life 2

- Fable

- Doom 3

- Max Payne

- Lego Star Wars The Video Game

- Lego Star Wars II

- Star Wars Episode III Revenge of the Sith

- Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic

- Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II

None of the above games worked.

Two other games I tried DID work:

- Halo

- Halo 2

I made sure my Xbox 360 is up to date, so I don't really understand why most of the games do not work, but the two Halo games do work.

Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

backwards compatibility of xbox 360 games on xbox one on disc

I got loads of xbox 360 games on cd rom disc and they are not working for backwards compatibility even though these games are on the official list of backwards compatible games. What is wrong? I read online that xbox 360 games on disc are also supposed
to be backwards compatible with xbox one.

 

My xbox one does not read xbox 360 games

Hello, buy the first xbox one that went on sale but it does not read my xbox 360 discs and it is supposed to read the xbox 360 games, but because it does not read my Halo Combat Evoled Anniversary game. If
it is supposed to be in the list of compatible games and also the same box says that it reads the xbox 360 discs?

These are physical copies of the games. I do not have any games on the hard drive as of right now.

 

I was able to get these games to work. Apparently, updating did not actually happen because the profile I created was not connected to an Xbox Live account and the update I downladed and put on a CD wasnt the latest update.
