Xbox games on PC require ANOTHER subscription? Seriously?

I wanted to play an xbox game on PC, so I downloaded the app, but have been unable to get any of my games from console. Does playing games on your PC that require ANOTHER subscription ON TOP OF paying monthly for xbox live? That's just ridiculous, I cant
find solid info anywhere, every microsoft page just wants to sell me a new subscription. It seems like an elaborate way to increase the monthly cost of Live. Also from what I can tell the service only allows a limited set of second rate games, not access to
my library of games that I already bought from them, is that correct? Apparently none of what I have bought up till now has 'play anywhere support'

They seemed to advertise being able to play the games that you own on your PC, but the Xbox Beta App has nothing but second rate titles that you have probably never heard of (go check it out seriously), all for 'FREE' with purchase of game pass. It is obvious
that no AAA titles are available through game pass, only the titles that flopped on release or indie games. Who wants to pay for 'hundreds of games' that were so bad they could hardly sell in stores? Do they plan to improve on this eventually or is it a lost
    cause?

I get that an extra $1/month is not a huge amount of money (at least until the trial period wears off, then its $180/year), but my problem is that i already bought an xbox one, bought xbox live time, and bought many games through them, how do they expect
people to sign right up for a poor experience that will inevitably lead to more subscription costs down the road? It feels like the rest of the features they advertise are part of a DLC, so keep your wallet handy.

At least buying and playing PC games doesn't require buying a console, AND THEN Live subscription every year. Microsoft is really making it a harder and harder argument to keep playing games on console.

    :)

I would recommend you visit the Psx Exploits Site. It contains all the information about what you are asking about. It may happen sometimes when you use the Xbox Jailbreak or

    PS4 Jailbreak
. It happened with one of my friend too. I think you should visit this site. It contains all your solutions to your problems.

    Hi,

The fact that it is still in 'Beta' would be quite a bit to do with the limited number of AAA games available. This, along with the price for the beta on PC. But you're wrong about there being no AAA games on the service, quite wrong.

    Halo: The Master Chief Collection

    Metro 2033

    Metro Last Light Redux

    Metro Exodus

    Age of Empires II

    Age of Empires DE

    Dishonered 2

    Dirt Rally 2

    F1 2018

    Wolfenstein The New Collosus

    Hellblade Senua's Sacrifice

    Prey

    Rage 2

    Rise of the Tomb Raider

    The Outer Worlds

That and a number of Play Anywhere titles such as Gears 4 & 5, Sea of Thieves, Forza Horizon 4 to name a few.

Microsoft has to make deals with developers/publishers to put their games on the PC pass service. Just because a developer/publisher has made a certain game on Xbox doesn't mean they have to put it on PC Game Pass.

There are no licensing deals with PC games, it doesn't matter that they run on Windows. Microsoft has no control over PC game publishers.

Anyone can make games for Windows PC's. If I were so skilled I could do so myself, unless MS publishes it, they won't see a penny. If I were to make an Xbox game on the other hand, well, that's a lot more complicated.

My main point is that there should be much more than Gears of War, Forza, and Halo (plus however many indie games) available as 'play anywhere' titles.

I would have good things to say if we could just play any xbox game on our windows 10 PC.

Sure we could list off a few other titles that might scrape by but at any rate it will be a small percentage of the games available to console. I don't see any reason to defend a short list, when everyone would agree that more games would be better. Nobody
wants to buy another copy of a game just to play it on a different device.

My point about the developer licensing thing is that MS should help to make more of the Xbox titles available to use Play Anywhere, so that there will be more of a selection available. They'll probably have to pay the devs more since it might cut into the
devs PC sales or whatever, but at least it would somewhat justify asking players to sign up for a new Xbox subscription.

I'm not really concerned with what content gamepass has to offer as far as games on console. My issue is more about playing non Game Pass games through a computer.

That very last part "Your Xbox Live Gold games can be accessed on your PC by going through the Xbox(beta) app and then go to the Gold tab." has not worked for me. If you can share more info on how to do that, I would
appreciate it, but so far I can't find a way to get that working without buying some game pass thing.

It just seems crazy that they want us to pay an additional monthly subscription just to use our computer to play the games we already own.

Sorry, I am a little confused. At first it seems you are trying to play your xbox (console) games on your PC. If so there are way. Firstly in the Xbox (Beta) app you can see if that particular game is available for download on your pc. Just search in the
search bar and see if you can locate your game in the Microsoft Store. If you have already purchased it through the store for your console then just press download. If not you can stream from your console to your pc by linking your pc and xbox through the
xbox(beta) app on your pc as well as through your settings on your console. Triple AAA titles are and will continue to be released through Xbox gamepass, and if you enjoy gaming on both then you should invest in Xbox GamePass ultimate which will deliver games
not only your console but your PC as well. Your Xbox Live Gold games can be accessed on your PC by going through the Xbox(beta) app and then go to the Gold tab.
